Simon Atack always had his sights on becoming a painter and began drawing aircraft and warships at a very early age.
After formal training at Wakefield College of Art where he studied graphic design, illustration and life drawing, finding it difficult to get a job employing his skills, he joined the RAF. During his services his talents were quickly recognised, leading to comissions for his squadron and other units throughout the RAF. |
