We have recently had made available to us, a collection of 617 Squadron memorabilia of real interest to any enthusiast. Original WWII memorabilia is becoming highly sought after and it is very rare that we are able to offer a collection of items that is so interesting. This grouping relates to the flying career of Sqn Ldr Robert T Duck, a Bomber Aimer and Navigator, who flew operationally with 617 Sqn on the Tallboy Raids of 1944.
The collection includes Sqn Ldr Duck’s Log Book, two silk Norwegian escape maps, Duck’s personal notebook marked ‘Top Secret’, original observer wings, various photographs and navigational equipment.
