Description
The Vickers Vimy was designed to be used as a bomber in WWI but became most famous for the first ever trans-Atlantic flight flown by John Alcock and Arthur Brown in 1919.
We believe that Richard is quite simply the best pencil artist in the industry, producing outstanding work that is as good as his illustrious father, Robert. Richard has perfected a technique which combines pencil highlighted with white acrylic paint to create an amazing work of art that looks three dimensional.
Completed in Richards pencil/paint technique this excellent drawing has been conservation matted to include the very rare original signatures of Alcock and Brown – a ‘must have’ piece for the serious collector of historic aviation.
