Description

During the height of the Battle of Britain a Luftwaffe pilot, standing beside his downed Me109, looks on as Spitfires of 54 Squadron returning to base at Hornchurch, roar overhead. Released in 1990 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, the edition has been sought after on the secondary market for many years.

Additionally set into the matting are a museum quality reproduction pair of RAF wings and a number of authentic used .303 cartridges that were recovered from the crashed aircraft of Air Marshal Sir DENIS CROWLEY MILLING, making this a unique and very collectable piece.
