As the day breaks on the Russian Front and the sun begins to rise during the high summer of 1942, heavily armed Bf 110’s of 6/ZG1 prepare for a dawn strike against ground targets deep in Russian territory. Above them their Me109 escorts scan the skies for enemy intruders.
