Description

This outstanding edition has proved to be one of Richard’s most popular releases so far, and is a fitting tribute to the ‘few’ who defended the shores of Britain during the Battle of Britain.

This particular copy has been returned to Richard’s studio to be further enhanced by an original pencil remarque to become a very rare and outstanding collector’s item. Richard’s pencil work is widely agreed to be amongst the best in the industry and this remarque of Battle of Britain Ace Flt Lt Ian Gleed’s Hurricane is no exception.

Included in the conservation matting is a section of wooden fuselage and a piece of Madapolam fabric recovered from the crash site of a Hurricane shot down over England in 1941, and fragments of airframe from Hurricane P3873 of 1(RCAF) Sqn shot down over Kent.
