Description
December 24, 1944 north of Bastogne, Belgium. On this frigid Christmas Eve, Captain Dick Winters supports his men with the words: “Hang Tough.” Despite being surrounded and ill-equipped, Easy Company would hold the line and ultimately, the 101st Airborne would help turn the tide in the Battle of the Bulge
John Shaw’s stunning piece HANG TOUGH echoes the words of ‘Easy Company’s’ Captain Dick Winters as he attempts to keep up the spirits of his tired, shivering and hungry men. And ‘Hang Tough’ is exactly what the men did, repelling wave after wave of deadly German attacks.
We now have available just one copy of his superb painting by one of America's foremost military artists which is personally hand signed by SIX original members of Easy Company.
