Released in 1992 this edition sold out very quickly, not only due to the masterful portrayal of this aerial conflict but also because of its superb collection of original signatures – it has since become one of the most collectable and iconic paintings in Robert Taylor’s extensive portfolio. The print is personally hand signed by these legendary Luftwaffe Fighter Aces who all flew with JG-52:

These six legendary pilots amassed a staggering total of 1,259 aerial victories between them, and every one was awarded the Knight’s Cross. This print has become extremely difficult to find over the years so we are lucky to have this pristine example that has been conservation framed and triple matted to include a museum quality reproduction Luftwaffe breast eagle.
